We understand that finding a suitable disco for your special event can be time consuming, and to this end we’ve put together a guide to booking with Future Sound Discos:

 

The Initial Booking Process

 

After an initial consultation, upon agreeing a booking we will send you the following:

 

• A Covering Letter explaining everything in plain English!

 

• Final Details Form - This is your opportunity to let us know the finer details of the event, such as any dedications, special requests and announcements you wish to be made.

 

• Two copies of the Booking Contract - this will already be completed and simply needs to be read through and signed. One copy should be sent back to us alongside any advance payment, and the other should be kept for your records.

 

The Event

 

Prior to your event, we will be in touch to confirm any final arrangements and to answer any questions you may have. You are also welcome to call us to discuss your event on 020 8090 3459.

 

• Before the event - We always aim to arrive with plenty of time to spare, in order to allow us time to make sure the sound & lighting equipment is set up properly, safely and looks presentable. It is best to allow 1 Hour for this, and if access is difficult this can take longer.

 

• During the event - We are available for any announcements, instructions or music suggestions, so please feel free to ask. We usually let the music do the talking, and while we’re confident with microphone use, we can also appreciate how annoying it can be to have the DJ constantly chatting over the music! Therefore we try to keep any talking to the point and well timed over the music.

 

• After the event - We prefer to let the venue clear and be as discrete as possible when packing equipment away. It’s advisable to allow 1 hour for dismantling and removal of equipment from the venue. We always welcome feedback from our clients, so please do let us know your thoughts afterwards.

 

Music

 

Unless otherwise instructed we generally play softer music to start until a few people arrive. Unlike some DJs we will respond to the crowd, and if something goes down well we will stick with it. Likewise if something clears the dancefloor we will change it! Have confidence that we are playing for you and your guests, and not ourselves, and welcome requests either before or during the event.
